Sights in the area
In addition to one of the best free beaches in the country, Zamárdi and its surroundings offer many other program opportunities for both young and old. It serves as the venue for many popular festivals (Balaton Sound, ZamJam, Strand Festival), but there is also an adventure park, go-kart track, playgrounds, observation deck, and high-quality restaurants, buffets, and shops. The commercial/entertainment center of the area, Siófok, can be reached quickly by train or car, but it is also worth visiting the nearby Kőröshegy, where the tulip harvest awaits in the spring and the huge lavender field in the summer. From neighboring Szántód, you can take a boat trip to picturesque Tihany. Wine lovers can visit the wineries of the Balatonboglár wine region.
